Why Does a Stray Cat Keep Coming To My House

Were you ever baffled by some cats? I mean, ever wondered “why does a cat keep coming to my house” without any plausible reason. Imagine, it's a sunny day and you are enjoying the light breeze and suddenly, you see a little cat jump over your cat walking towards you. Purring and rubbing their heads on your feet and you look around to see why are they in my garden? Well we reveal reasons why this can be.
A steady food source
Most often than not, if you are a house that is used to set out food for strays, they are likely to come by your house more than once. The reason is that they see your home as a steady food source. Not only that, they could also tell about your house to other cats by spraying special pheromones that are signals for other cats saying that your home is a safe place to be in with lots of food too.

They probably prefer you more than their owners

If they are significantly clean or they seem to have owners (characterized by or tag or something), and yet they still come by your house, there is a possibility that they like you more than their owners. Perhaps you did something for the cat that their owners wouldn’t do for them. Your home may have something that their owners do not.

It has chosen you

If a cat suddenly decides to follow you around, it has chosen you! It has taken quite a liking of you for whatever reason that you did. Some cats would literally follow you until you get home!

Sick

A cat may be feeling a bit off and sick, and it has no idea where to turn to. It just so happens that your house is the nearest place of refuge for the poor cat. Also, you might want to check if you have any plants that have medicinal effects, the cat may be attracted to these plants as cats are highly capable of healing themselves. They are knowledgeable about what their body needs in order to heal. Sometimes, they do not need the vet in order to get cured. They can heal themselves in a natural way.

Nowhere else to go to

This is usual for cats that are still very young. Kittens who are abandoned and orphaned will tend to look around for someplace to stay. Perhaps there is something in your house that attracted these little critters to them. This can also happen with adult stray cats too. Some cats will want to stay for good while some cats would only come by every now and then.

They can sense good vibrations coming from the house

Cats are highly sensitive creatures, I believe we can all agree to that. They can sense human emotions and they know when a household is filled with love and warmth. They are able to identify these emotions and feel the good aura emanating from your home. It is possible that they are attracted to the positivity that radiates from your family.

A sign from the heavens

Many people believe that when a kitten stops by your house, you are in for something good! It’s a sign that something good will happen to you in the near future.
To some, there is an added dimension: you only get lucky if the kitten stops by during the day, otherwise, expect something rather awful to happen. The only way to counter the bad luck is if the kitten would stay in your home for the night. Well, it only makes sense! You kept a homeless cat under your roof over the night, the cat gods will surely smile down upon your good act!

Gossip?

They say that if out of the blue, your neighbors’ cat comes popping right in your porch or backyard, there is a high chance that your neighbors are probably talking about you as of the moment. Especially if their cat is seemingly listening in to whatever it is you are talking about amongst yourselves.
